SGNskis -JOSTEDAL
The graphics to this ski is inspired by the mythichal story of Jostedals-rypa.
During the Black Death (1847-1850) a small girl was supposed to be the only survivor in the valley of Jostedalen in Sogn. After the plague had resurrected, the legend states that some people went up to the Jostedalen to see if the people had survived. At one of the most remote farms in the valley they found footprints in the snow. As they followed the tracks they found a little girl who was alive. Trying to catch her was a supposed to be a challenge. When they finally caught her, they only words she said was - «Mor, vetle rjupa» hence the name "Jostedalsrypa".
On the back of the skis you can see my version of Jostedalsrypa, as she is all alone in an Ice cave trying to escape from the big shadow of the plague.
In the front you can see the beautiful mountain Hest in Jostedal. It is surrounded by magical Northern lights, witch is a symbol of hope and inspiration.
